The table provides information about the percentage of people of different ages and incomes who live below the poverty line in three American states. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Utal has more people residing in poverty under the age of 18, while Florida has more people over the age 60.
In California, 16% of the population is below the poverty line, of which 17% are young people under 18, however, those aged 60 and over are 4% less. A similar trend is repeated with the figures in Florida, where 12% of people are poor, 16% are under 18, and 23% are aged 60. Utal has the lowest amount of people in poverty in the 60 and over age group and the total population, only 8 and 9 percent respectively, but the highest number of people under 18 (28%).
Although the percentage of residents living in poverty in California is higher, it has the highest income compared with the other two countries (23,000). Florida and Utal has significantly fewer, 22,000 and 17,000 respectively.
