The table provides information on the proportion of books actually sold and expected to be sold in three different countries between 1988 and 2030.
Overall, both Canada and Germany showed a significant growth in the sale of books in the past compared to the UK sales which rose just minimally. However, all three countries are predicted to show the same rate of increase in the sales by the year 2030.
In 1988, Germany sold the highest number of books at 20%. During this period, Canada and the UK’s rate of books sold was close to each other, accounting for 16% and 14%, respectively. After a 12-year period, the sales in both Canada and Germany rose at the same rate by 5%, while the UK depicted an insignificant growth of mere 1%.
In 2030, it is, however, assumed that the books sale by all the given three countries will be increased by 5% each, with Germany maintaining its previous highest position.
