The table shows passenger numbers for four cruise ship companies – Queen of Seas, Caribbean Dream, Voyage World and Sunny Sail – in four separate years from 1985 to 2015.
Overall, the data illustrates that passenger numbers for all four cruise companies changed irregularly over the 30-year period, with no company showing a consistently stable trend. Queen of Seas generally attracted the largest number of passengers, whereas Caribbean Dream remained the least popular throughout most of the period. Despite some increases at the beginning and end of the period, all companies experienced a noticeable drop in 2005.
In more detail, Queen of Seas began with the highest passenger count at 450,000 in 1985, but this number decreased over the next twenty years to 403,000 in 2005 before rising slightly to 422,000 by 2015. On the other hand, Caribbean Dream had the lowest figure of the entire table in 1985 with 215,000 passengers. Although the number increased to 256,000 in 1995, it declined again to 220,000 in 2005, and then rose to 245,000 in 2015.
As for the other two companies, Voyage World and Sunny Sail, both saw fluctuations across the period. Voyage World’s passenger numbers increased from 345,000 in 1985 to 398,000 in 2005 before falling to 362,000 in 2015. Sunny Sail recorded 412,000 in 1985 and peaked at 423,000 in 1995, but then dropped to 399,000 in 2005 and recovered slightly to 403,000 in 2015. It is worth noting that in 2005 all four companies experienced a decline in passenger numbers compared with 1995.
