The table indicates the number of waste production (in millions of tonnes) in several countries over every ten years from 1980 to 2000.
Overall, all countries had more total waste production every year , the USA is the country with the highest amount.
Most of the countries experienced an increased amount of waste production. Including Ireland, Japan,, Poland, Portugal, and the US. Among those countries, Ireland has the highest rise in percentage terms. Although it is the smallest in tonnage, its biggest tonnage in the year 2000 is just around 5 millions tons, same as Portugal. While the other countries have more than that, even US tinnies number in 1980 reached 131 tons. Nevertheless if we only compare between 1980 and 2000, the number of waste production in Ireland has increased above 700% in presentation.
Furthermore, Korea shows a unique pattern, the amount of waste production between 1990 and 2000 decreased significantly from 31 million tonnes to 19 million tonnes, even so because of unknown data in 1980, we cannot confirm the consistency of the downward trend.
