The given table illustrates students results in 2010, after taking the IELTS General Test, who were from different language groups.
Taken as a whole, the data indicate that German students were better in listening, writing and speaking exams, whilst students from Malay were slightly better in Reading, and other were not that far from the rest.
Listening was one of the highest scored tests for German students, where they reached the 6.8 score. In contrast, all other language groups were just in excess of 6 mark. In reading section predominated students from Malay, who stood at 6.4 score. Slighty smaller average mark held Germas, settling at 6.3 score, while students from France and Indonesia converged at 6.1.
Writing results varied. With the 6.5 and 6.6 score were students from France and Geramany, whereas Indonesian and Malay students hit the 6.1 and 6.0 score, respectively. What is particularly noteworthy is that the closest to getting 7 band were Germans, reaching 6.9 score in Speaking, whilst others were in the vicinity of 6.6 score, except of Indonesians, whose average was 6.7.
