The table shows data about changes in the 5 different types of industries in HK billions over a year from 2009 to 2010.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that metals have the highest increase. Another interesting point of the table that Clothing and Manufacturing decreased .
Firstly, at the beginning of the year in 2009 and the end of the year in 2010, Metals showed a slight increase from 2.3 billion to 5.1 billion with 122% increase. Moreover, Telecommunications also rose significantly, going up from 7.9 billion to 12.7 billion with 61% positive difference. And the last one is equipment which went up from 10.3 billion to 11.6 billion with 13% increase.
In contrast, Clothing as well as Manufacturing experienced noticeable declines over the period. Clothing exports which fell from 6 Billion Hong Kong dollars in 2009 to 5 billion in 2010, representing a 17% decrease. Similarly, Manufacturing showed even sharper drop which declining from 5.5 billion to 4 billion with a negative change of 27%. Despite these drops, overall exports increased by 20%
