Overall, the number of visitors to the British Museum and Rijksmuseum experienced an upward trend while the firgure for the National Aquatic Centre, which took the opposite direction and that for Amusement and Zoos saw a stabilization. Among all the tourist attractions, Amusement parks consistantly attracting the largest number of visitors.

In 1981, the highest number of visitors belonged to Amusement parks, at 7.5 millions, 3.65 millions higher than the figure for The National Aquatic Centre. This was followed by the number of visitors to the British museum and the Rijksmuseum, at 2.98 and 2.44 millions respectively. In last destination was Zoos, at 1.01 millions.
