Overall, the percentage of women in management was higher than that in parliament across all five countries. While the figures for both positions in Norway and Canada showed small gaps, those of Tobago & Trinidad, Uruguay and Italy witnessed a significant disparity between the two positions.
Regarding groups that saw huge differences between the two positions, while the figure for women in parliament in Uruguay was only 8%, the proportion of women in management was 37%, representing the predominance of female managers. The same pattern was witnessed in Italy, with 10% in parliament and 54% in management. Tobago and Trinidad, meanwhile, recorded 19% were parliament leaders and 40% were managers.
The two remaining countries observed slight differences. In Norway, 36% of Parliament seats were held by women and 52% females were managers. Likewise, in Canada, the percentage of women in Parliament accounted for 28% and that in Management was 37%, demonstrating the smallest gap between the two posts among the five countries.
