The bar chart compares data about the number of Australian people who were studying in five foreign countries, namely the USA, New Zealand, the UK, Germany and Japan between 2004 and 2006.
Overall, the relatively higher figures went for the USA, New Zealand and the UK, while the reverse was true for Germany and Japan. It is also clear that an upward trend was seen in almost all the countries, except in Japan.
Looking at the number of Australian students in the first three areas, the USA had a biggest proportion all over the period. It started at around 2600 in 2004, and reached at the peak of approximately 2900 till 2006. The number of students in New Zealand and the UK stood at about 2600 and exactly 1500 respectively at the beginning of the period, but then figures rose by roughly 2500 and 2000, in turn.
Turning to the rest of the countries, they had unnoticeable change in spite of some mild fluctuations. More specifically, the figure for Germany witnessed an oscillation between around 200 and 250, with a little bit rise, and that of Japan saw similar figure with no change throughout the period.
