Overall, USA and New Zealand witnessed the highest number of educators in every year, while that of UK stands on a greater average throughout the period. Noticeably, the number of applied students in Germany and Japan achieved lower results during the survey.
In detail, Australian students who chose to study in USA and New Zealand made up almost the same figure in 2004, which is slightly above 2500 people, making a disparity of about 1000 students between them and the UK’s one. At this point, Germany and Japan recorded approximately 300 and 400 students respectively, stating their mere significance compared to the other countries.
However, while the figures for the USA kept on increasing from 2005 to 2006, constituting for about 2600 and 2800 students, those of the UK and New Zealand hit a slight change before plateauing at 2600 and 1550 respectively. In contrary, Germany and Japan followed a similarly upward pattern as these two countries again accumulated the least students. In the last two years, it was 300 versus 400 for Germany and 300 versus 350 for Japan.
