Presented in the tabular chart is the quantity of awards that was given to the top 9 countries during the recent Paris 2024 Olympic games. It can be noted that the United States of America received the highest total number of medals while the Republic of Korea received the lowest.
Two out of 9 countries reflected on the chart, namely the United States of America and China, tied at 40 golden medals awarded to them during this event while Italy gained 12 gold medals, which marks a 28-medal difference between them. Although coming third on the list, it can be noted that Japan received 20 gold medals, which is only half of what the leading countries had won.
For the silver and bronze medals that were awarded, the top country on the list, the United States of America, continued to gain more medals: 44 silver medals and 42 bronze ones, keeping their number one spot. However, the same could not be said for the People’s Republic of China as their numbers were almost half of their contender’s accomplishment; 27 silver and 24 bronze. Italy, on the other hand, did not stay at the bottom of the list with their 13 silvers and 15 bronze.
