In 2003, there are 24.7 million visit and spending is 11.9 billion pounds. After that, the number keep go up every year. In 2007, visitor reach 32.8 million and in 2008 still high. The money people spend also grow to 16.3 billion pounds in 2008. The spending per visit also increase from 475 to 511 pounds.
However, the number of night not increase same like visitor. It was 8.2 night in 2003 and small rise to 8.4 in 2006. Then it drop to 7.7 in 2007 and stay same in 2008.
