Overall, most figures reported a moderate increase during that time, with the exception of the number of days that they stay saw a slow decline. Notably, in 2006 and 2007, all differents factors represented the highest peak compared to the others.
In terms of the quantity of visitors, there was a fluctuation from 24 to 33 million before ending at 32 million in 2008, but it still remained a stable growth. This followed by the figure of spending, beginning at 12 pound billions in 2003, after which it experienced a significant climb to 16 pound billions, before ending at around 16,300 pound billion.
With regards to the average spend per visit, a sharp rocket was shown during the period, 475 hours was spent for each trip in 2003; this figure dropped to 466 hours, before going up to 511 hours, reaching the peak. Finally, the table showed the how many nights that travellers spent for per vacation. In 2003 and 2004, it remained stable at 8,2, after which it increased to 8,4 in 2006, and then plunging and remaining at 7,7.
