Overall ,it is clear that public hospitals accounted for a great number of admissions than private hospital across all States. It is also noticeable that according to the pie chart same day is stays accounted for the largest share,while overnight stays in private hospitals represented the smallest proportion
the previous year, New South Wales reported the highest figures, with 6,097 thousand admissions in public hospitals and 2,225 thousand in private ones.Victoria followed, recording 4,432 thousand and 2,410 thousand respectively.By contrast, Western Australia and South Australia had considerably smaller numbers – 2,552 thousand and 2,209 thousand in total – indicating substantial regional variation. Queensland stood in the middle range, where public admissions exceeded private by just over one thousand.
According to the pie chart, public same-day stays accounted for about 30 percent, whereas private same-day services represented roughly 26 percent.Overnight stays were less common overall, making up 28 percent in public and only 16 percent in private hospitals.This clearly shows that the majority of all hospital visits occurred in the public sector, reflecting its dominant role in Australian healthcare.
