The diagram depicts the number of grown-ups who participated in the four mentioned activities in the countryside and metropolitan regions between 1900 and 2010. Overall, it is clear that reading was the most popular activity in both urban and rural areas while animated play and photography were shown in reverse.
To commence with, in 1990, the percentage of adults who took part in reading activities in urban and rural areas started at about 61 & 71 sequentially. On the other hand, animated play and photography activities had the least participants. In the animated play, the percentage in each countryside and cities were merely at about 10 & 18 chronologically while photography was at about 7 in urban area which is only a half percent from the bucolic area. Eventually, playing was in second place by no more than 26 percent in each category.
In contrast, in 2010, some trends occurred in every activity in which reading, and photography underwent an upward while animated play and playing faced declined numbers and constant movement in every region. In reading, the percentage increased in each region to about 3 while photography rose to about 10. On the flip side, animated play in urban remained while in the rural area, it declined slightly to 14. Lastly, playing participants in cities showed the same trend with urban animated numbers while the countryside downward to 14.
