The table illustrates the percentage of young boys and girls who played sports in one town in the UK in the year 2010. Overall, the highest percentage of sports played is mostly by boys . At the age age of 9, the highest being 54% from boys and 49% from girls.
As observed, the lowest percentage of sports played is at the age on 15, whereas age 9 being the highest. Moreover, at the age of 9 and 10, it can be seen that boys have more percentage of sport played compared to girls. In contrast, girls surpassed boys in the persentage at the age of 13-15.
From the table, it can be concluded that, the biggest difference is at the age of 13 where boys had 16% compared to girls 29% (13% difference). The smallest difference can be seen at the age of 9 and 15, both had a 5% difference.
