In 2002, homeholds with a washing machine and color television were 97% and 95% respectively, and their demand increased only slightly with ownership going up to 98% and 99% in 2020, However, for digital cameras, which were the least purchased of item in 2002, 2% of households owned one, there was a major spike in demand with 40% of household having it in 2020. A similar trend was observed in the case of cell phones where the ownership surged from 20% in 2002 to 80% in 2020
On the contrary, video recorders, the third most popular electronic gadget in 2002 with 75% of household owning them, went down to 60% in 2020. Owner of dishwashers have a marginal increase from 45% to 55%. However, computers gained major importance with 78% of families having one in 2020
