The proportion of households with washing machines started at 97% in 2002, after which it saw a slight increase to 98% in 2020. Similarly, the proportion of homes with color TVs also grew, from 95% to 99% during the same period. The figure for computers experienced a dramatic rise, growing from 50% in 2002 to 78% in 2020.
In contrast, the share for video recorders saw a decrease, dropping from 75% in 2002 to 60% in 2020. Meanwhile, the percentage of households with dishwashers increased modestly from 45% to 55%. The most significant change occurred in the ownership of digital cameras, which started at only 2% but surged to 40% by 2020.
