In general, the percentage of electronic devices used in household chores in New Zealand increased by varying degrees over the given period. Notably, washing machine and colour TV were the most popular technologies that had the highest rates among other devices.
At the beginning, the proportion of consuming washing machine and colour TV ranked first with roughly 98%, followed by video recorder, at 75%. The rates of using computer and dishwasher were much lower, at around 50% and 45%, respectively. While, New Zealander did not prefer to cellphone and digital camera, which was the least used eletronic goods, at 20% and 2%.
Shifting our attention to the end of the period, residents still chosen washing machine and colour TV were the highest used devices in their homes, at around 99%. Afterwhich, the figures of cellphone and computer closely followed by roughly 80%. Much lower than that were the rates of video recorder and dishwasher, at nearly 60%, contrast to digital camera, still was the least choice of New Zealanders in households.
