The table compares use of various features on mobile phone – namely make calls, take photos, send & receive text messages, play games, search the internet, play music, and record video – in terms of the percentage of people with mobile phones from 2006 to 2010. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, making calls is the most preferred feature in all given years, while recording video is considered as the least used function of phone. It is also worth noting that sending & receiving messages are quite preferable throughout the timeframe.
Focusing on leading features, making calls showed a remarkable 100% in 2006, and remained unchanged in next two years before it saw a little decline to 99% in 2010. In terms of sending & receiving text messages, it started at 73% in the first year, followed by a gradual increase to 76% in the last year, representing second most preferred function. Likewise, taking photos equalled 66% in 2006. After four years, there was a steady rise to 76%.
Moving to other features, playing games showed 17% in 2006, before it experinced a noticeable climb to 42%, followed by a minor decrease to 41% in 2010. Moreover, searching the internet and recording video indicated no data in 2006. After that, both searching the internet and recording video witnessed a moderate rise to 73% and 35% in 2010, respectively.
