Overall, most mobile phone owners use mobile phones for making calls, sending and receiving text messages. While, only a small number of people play music and record video.
Around 100% of people make calls throughout the period, while 66% of mobile phone owners take photos on their telephones. In addition, from 2008 to 2010 the usage of taking photos, sending and receiving text messages was quite similar, each accounting for just over 70%.
In 2007, only 17% owners used their phones to play games, however in 2008 and 2010 this data increased to nearly 40% respectively. Moreover, usage of playing music experienced the same increase throughout the period, from 12% to nearly a fifth. Initially, the functions such as search the internet and record video do not have any data, however from 2008 to 2010 both of them rose sharply.
