Overall,it is clear that women rode bicycles more than men in all age groups,with the proportion of bicycle usage recording significant difference between males and females in the 10-19 and 20-39 age categories,while other age groups exhibited different patterns.Of particular note is the bicycle use of those aged 0-9, which stood out as the top user among all age groups by both genders accounting for more than 50%.
Starting with the youngest age group, the bicycle usage of girls made up the largest share among all age categories across two genders,standing at an impressive 52.5%, slightly higher than 51.2% of boys.In contrast, 40-59 age range had the least percentages,with female riders recording 13.7%, whereas the proportion of male riders was only 9.3%.When it comes to the bicycle use of those aged more than 60,males and females accounted for 14.6% and 19.8%, respectively.
On the other hand, other age groups exhibited significant gender differences in terms of their bicycle usage,with the percentage of females in the 10-19 age range being at 43.6% ,compared to only 25.1% of males.Meanwhile,18.2% of females used bicycles in comparison with 10.8% of males in the 20-39 age category.
