As we can see right here, the table illustrates us how the population in Sao Paulo, Jakarta, adn Shanghai forecasted during 2000 period. All of the forecasting are based on the previous data which the observer only focused on the actual population in 1990.
When we take a look deeper to the data, the amount of population growth is very diverse for each citiy. Starting from Sao Paulo which holds the largest amount of population than the 2 other countries and followed by Jakarta which has the lowest one. During the forecasting process, the observer predicts that Sao Paulo will have a significant increase in population and still stands in the first place among the others. Thereafter, the actual data shows that Sao Paulo’s forecast is overestimated, as well as Shanghai. The only city that surpass the forecast is Jakarta, which is forecasted 14 million but then showing 17.5 million of population in 2000. From the sequence, we also notice that the only country that occuring the delevation of population is Shanghai, which came from 13.5 million population in 1990 to 12.5 million population in 2000.
From the table above, we can acquire that Sao Paulo still got the highest number of population among the others, but Jakarta is the only one which can surpass the observer’s forecast.
