In terms of the highest number of households during 1999, Sole parent and the single with no children, followed by couple with children, was showed with the percentages of 21% (933,000), 19% (359,000) and 12% (933,000), respectively.
Couple with no children and single elderly people showed a similiar minimal number of 7% (211,000) and just a little over one in twenty. The remaining household, elderly couple were accounted for the lowest and the least popular number of households with just 4% (48,000). All of this household ranges were then calculated into a total number of 11% (1,837,000).
