Overall, the United States and Australia have the highest percentages of women in both categories, while Egypt and Sri Lanka show the lowest figures, especially in management roles.
In detail, in Australia, women make up 42% of the labour force and 43% of management positions, which are quite similar. The United States shows the same pattern with 46% of women working and 43% holding management jobs.
By contrast, Egypt and Sri Lanka have much lower rates. In Egypt, only 20% of the labour force are women, and just 12% of managers are female. Sri Lanka has a slightly higher proportion of women working at 41%, but only 9% in management, the lowest among all countries. Especially, in Japan also shows a clear gap, with 48% of women in the labour force but just 17% in management positions.
