The given table highlights the proportion of 6800 Scottish adults if they had joined in various cultural activities in the last one year.
From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that people who are at the ages over 16 have a tendency to take part in other kinds of performance namely dancing, singing, playing instruments and acting. Another striking feature is that people of the group 16 to 24 years old, are more concerned in those cultural activities.
Looking at the table in more detail, it is noteworthy that there is the upward trend of ages that are interested in undertaking craft and cultural purchases. Specifically, the youngest group indicated the lowest proportion which is 11%. Meanwhile, the oldest group takes the lion’s share in two mentioned cultural activities, accounting for 22% and 18%. In addition, Performances were more likely to be participated in by those aged 16 to 24 ( 35%).
Regarding the remaining part of the surveyed table, it is noticeable that there is a down trend of surveyed ages in activities such as writing, computer based, and visual arts. That is almost 3 times higher for old individuals than the young, who join in those activities.
