Overall, it is clear that the primary reason for coming has consistently been to see specific displays in all of the years shown, whereas the least mentioned answer was “work” in every year except 2000, when tourism was at its lowest.
First of all, “I came to see specific displays” remained steady as the most answered option throughout the period. It only dipped in 2010, but even then, it had the most votes. It peaked in 2020 when 54 visitors chose this option. This number had been 52 and 48 in 2000 and 2010 respectively.
Meanwhile, tourism and work turn out to be the least mentioned reasons for visiting the National Museum. However, the number of tourist visitors increased steadily from 7 to 22 in 20 years, while the figure for work visitors almost remained flat, only slightly changing in 2010, when it got 11 votes instead of 10, as in 2000 and 2020.
