The table illustrates the percentages of the various activities of cultural occasion in Britain from 1986-87 to 2001-02, covering seven categories: cinema, plays, art galleries, classical music, ballet, opera, and contemporary dance.
Overall, it is clear that cinema increased the most popular cultural activity in the entire period, while contemporary dance, opera, and ballet were the least attendees. In contrast, plays, art galleries, and classical music were almost remaining the same with very few fluctuations.
