The table shows the proportion of consumer spending on different goods in five regions:Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey on three types of consumer products in 2002.
According the table, the category of consumer goods that all countries spent most on was food, drinks and tobacco.Ireland and Turkey has the highest percent of outlay. In general Turkey showed almost 33% and Ireland was also high compared approximately 29% , whereas Sweden showed the lowest outlays. Spain and Italy spent 18,80% and 16,36% respectively.
The lowest outlays could be seen in the category of leisure and education in all five countries.The outlay of Turkey was generally higher than the other four countries.Money spent of leisure and education in Turkey accounted for 4,35% of spending there,which was the highest proportion among the five countries.
Clothing and footwear was the middle of category of consumer proportion for those items here between 9% in Italy , 5,40% in Sweden.Money spent in this area for the remaining countries averaged around 6,5%
