The table shows the percentage of people’s expenditure on different things in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2020.
Overall, it is clear that the highest percentage of spending in all countries was on food, drinks and tobacco, while the least spent was on leisure and education among all the countries.
All people tend to spent more on food, drinks and tobacco however the percentage of consumers in Turkey and Ireland were higher at 32.14% and 28.91% respectively. The difference between in number of consumption among Spain, Italy and Sweden is less than 3% with 18.80%, 16.36% and 15.77% respectively.
In terms of clothing and footwear the highest percentage was in Italy at 9% while in other countries in Turkey, Spain, Ireland and Sweden it was in more or less the same number with 6.63%, 6.51%, 6.43% and 5.40 accordingly.
The least spending was on leisure and education. As with food, drinks the highest percentage was in Turkey at 4.35%. In Sweden it was 3.22 and the difference between Sweden and Italy were 0.02% . The lowest percentage were shown by Ireland and Spain consumers with 2.21% and 1.98% respectively.
