Overall, it is evident that the most popular entertainment activities for all ages are watching TV and DVDs whereas listening to music was more appealing for young age group. Another interesting point is that dressmaking, needlework and knitting were the least interesting among ages.
In detail, all age group come up to 99% love watching TV, DVDs and many activities like: visiting, entertaining friends and relations rank the second at 98% to 95% respectively. Meanwhile, visiting, entertainment friends and relations was equally popular for young adults and teens around 98%. Subsequently, listening to music is most prefer by younger groups at 98% and 93% while the figure is one third lower with older people at 65%.
Conversely, gardening was popular with 60- 69 years old accounted for 61% almost twice as many elderly people enjoyed compared with 25 to 29 years old and even lower for teenagers. Furthermore, reading books with all of ages was nearly the same at 63%, 64% and 66% respectively. Dressmaking, needlework and knitting at the bottom percentage with youth just only 9%, in contrast about three times higher with older people. Another interesting point is that the biggest difference in proportion between ages related to DIY around 50% for people in their twenties.
