Overall, it is clear that the vast majority of all three age groups spent most of their leisure while watching TV, DVD’s, visiting relations and entertaining friends. Conversely, activities, such as gardening, DIY, knitting, dressmaking and needlework saw less interest among people.
To commence, younger generation, particularly people between ages 16-19 and 25-29 were tend to devote their recreation for entertaining. The proportion of both 16-19 and 25-29 age groups accounted for 99% and 98% while watching TV or DVD’s and visiting relations, entertaining friends. Teenagers were most likely to listen music, which percentage reached the peak of 98%, whereas young adults stood at 93%. In contrast, gardening, knitting saw less interest among youth, accounted for 15% and 9% in teenagers group and 35% and 14% in 25-29 years old group. Reading books had moderate percentage of 64% and 63%.
Regarding the older generation, individuals aging from 60 to 69 shared similarity with younger society in watching DVD’s and entertaining friends, amounted to 99% and 95%. However, in comparison to youth, they had a 65%, 66% and 61% of members spent their free time while listening to music, reading books and gardening.
