The table gives information about the expenditure levels of mothly family earnings on four various categories in five European countries.
Overall,it is clear from the graph that, in all five countries, families spent higher proportion of their earnings on food and drinking and housing compared to other two categories.Moreover, the highest percentage of income expenditure was on housing in UK, while the lowest level of money expenditure can be seen on clothing in Spain.
Starting from the France and Germany they have almost similar expenditure levels in all four categories. While around one third of their money was allocated to housing,which shows the highest proportion among other categories, the lowest in the rate was at clothing. While the figure for former is 7%, the latter is just over one in ten. Concerning UK, the people were more interested in purchasing apartment,spending approximately 37% of their money on it. As for the lowest figure for expenditure in UK was on clothing and entertainment (11%).
As regards Turkish people, primary expenditure of their income was on food and drinking with 36 %, while the least percentage of money, around one in ten, they allocated to clothing.Futhermore in Spain , similararly to Turkey, the highest percentage,around one third, of takings were spend on food and drinking. Meanwhile the lowest percentage of expenditure can be seen in clothing (8%).
