The table given compares the consumption of residents in five European nations expending on various daily demands every month, namely food and drink, housing, clothing and entertainment.
Overall, in all surveyed countries, the majority of citizens prioritize for food and drink and housing over other categories. Notably, clothing and entertainment are spent less money in these regions.
In Turkey, at 36% of family budget paid monthly for food and drink, making it the highest number compared to the four remaining nations. In the same item, the datas on Spain and the UK are slightly lower, with 31% for the former and 27% for the latter, compared to 25% in France. However, the rate of income consumed by German households accounts for at only 22%.
Regarding housing, the proportion of residents’ wage in the UK constitutes 37%, the highest among all other nations. In France and Germany, the figures for citizens’ expenditure on that item are from 31% to 33%, in comparison with 20% in Turkey and 18% in Spain. In terms of clothing, around 11% to 15% of income spent every month for this category by American, German and Turkish, while the percentage of other countries are below 8%. The average proportions of family budget that people allocate to entertainment in five regions of European only range from 10% to 19%.
