The diagram dipicts how five western countries (France, Germany, UK, Turkey and Spain) spend their monthly income on basic necesstities: food, accomodation, apparels and entertainment. Overall, most of the money is spent on the housing followed by meals. The British people pay more on housing while, Spainish citizens spend least.
Firstly, the UK people give about 40% on residences while Germans and French spend around 30% respectively. However, Turkish and Spanish pay around 20% of their finances in rent.
On the other hand, one third of the monthly expenditure of Turkey and Spain citizens is spent on groceries. In contrast, the France, Germany and UK residents spend about quarter of their incomes on food.
The clothing and leisure activities in european countries collectively account for approximately a quarter of their earnings, among which Germans spend the highest on both (15 and 19%), while French people spend the lowest (7% on clothes and 13% on entertainment).
