All the countries spent the most on food/drink/tobacco—about 3 times as much as on clothing/footwear—while the least money was spent on leisure/education, which was in the range of 5 to 12 times lower than on food/drink/tobacco.
Turkey spent the most, at almost 32.5%, on food/drinks/tobacco, while Ireland is right behind it at 29%. The remaining countries—namely, Italy, Spain, and Sweden—spent close to 15–19%, with Sweden being the lowest at 15.77%.
Italy spent the most on clothing/footwear, at 9%, while other countries spent close to 5–7%, with Sweden being the lowest at 5.4%. Leisure/education was the least-spent category, with the most being spent at 4.35% by Turkey, while other countries remained in the range of 2–3.2%, with Spain being the lowest at 1.98% of its expenditure.
