By contrast, the quantity of hospital beds in France hit a low at 0.2. Despite an inconsiderable plummet in 1990, France had a significant growth in 2000, which is two-fold higher than the initial, while Austria and Sweden just slowly climbed by the time.
Turning to the average length of stay in hospital, the general trend was downward. France showed the lowest figures through the experiment years, falling from 9 days in 1980 to 5 days in 2000. Similarly, Sweden had a noticeable decline that dropped by 5 days in 1990 compared to 1980. However, it had a reverse in the last year. Subsequently, Austria remained unchanged in the first ten years and rose marginally to 6.9 at the end.
