Overall, the figur for 0 to 15, 16 to 24, and 55 aged visitors who had been to Spain increased over the three decades, while the proportion of tourists aged 25 to 35 and 35 to 45 decreased significantly. Moreover, even the percentage of 25 to 35 year old visitors decreased they had the highest rates in 2015.
Turning to the details, the figure for tourists 0 to 15 increased from 10% to 12 in 2015. As for visitors who 16 to 24 years old increased to 15% now, up from 4% in 1981. The proportion of 55+ aged visitors increased significantly from 16% up to 25% between the period 1981 and 2015.
In addition, the figure for visitors who 25 to 35 years old decreased noticeably to 32% in 2015, down from 50% in 1981. The percentage of 35-45 aged tourists decreased from 22% to 12% over the three decades.
