The data presents information on the amount of energy produced from renewable resources in the UK and the number of employees in 2009.
Overall, five types of renewable resources were used to produce energy in 2009, where hydropower produced the highest percentage of energy and solar energy produced the least percentage of energy. Hydropower suprassed other power sources with its maximum energy genaration.
Solar energy power plant has the maximum number of employees, accounting 12,450 members. Despite being popular among individuals, solar energy was the lowest energy producing sustainable resource in 2009, reaching 3.6% . In constrast, hydropower delivered highest amount of energy of 13.7%, with only 1,013 employees working. Meanwhile, wind power becomes the second highest energy genrating source, accounting a total of 10.2% with 1,198 workers. Geothermal and Tidal power were the sources delivering moderate amount of energy, reaching 6.9% and 6.8% respectively.
