Overall, Slovenia allocated the highest share of its national budget to education and training, and the opposite pattern was true for Poland despite highest participation rate.
Slovenia spent the largest portion of its national budget to education and training at 25%, a figure that more than double the proportion allocated by any of the other four nations. However, the participation rate stood at 40% ranking second overall. By contrast, Poland spend the least, allocating 5% of its budgets, but achieved the most participation rate among other countries at 44%
In three remaining countries, Hungary reported expenditure rate of 13%, resulting in a participation rate of 34%. Following that, Czech Republic and Romania share the similar stat, spending expenditure 9% and 10%, respectively. Both nations has the lowest participation rate, with Czech Republic at 27% and Romania at 23%
