The table illustrates data about the percentage of women workers in government and management in 2000 in 5 different countries. Overall, the majority of women worked in management in all countries as opposed to those who worked in government. Norway had the most women workers in government, while when it comes to management Italy topped the table.
Looking first at the percentage of women in parliament, there were almost twice as many women who worked in government in Norway as opposed to those in Tobago and Trinidad, at 36%, the highest point in the government category, and 19% respectively. The proportion of women accounted for 28% of total seats in Canada which was higher more that of women in Italy(10%) and Uruguay(8%), the lowest point in the table, combined in 2000.
By contrast, the percentages of women who worked in management in Italy and Norway were almost the same, with the former standing 54%, a table-high level, and the latter 52%. 37% of total managers in Canada and Uruguay belong to women. Meanwhile, Tobago and Trinidad recorded 40%, ranking third among five countries.
