The illustration depicts the contribution of women in goverment and management in 2000 in 5 countries. The five countries are Canada, Norway, Tobago and Trinidad, Uruguay, and Italy. The position of women in government was included the parliament, the highest legislature in particular, consisting of the Sovereign, the House of Lords, and the House of Common.
Overall, the shares of total seals in parliament leaders were variative. However, the shares of totl manager were not much different in all countries. The contribution of women as parliament leaders show that Norway has the highest proportion compared to all countries and Uruguay has the lowest proportion.
The proportion of women in goverment in Norway in the amount of 36%, followed by Canada, Tobago and Trinidad, Italy and Uruguay. Canada has the proportion of women in parliament at 28%. Followed by Tobago and Trinidad 19%, Italy 10%, and the lowest were Uruguay only 8%.
The proportion of total seals in parliament leaders was not align with the proportion of total manager. In contrast, Canada and Uruguay have the same proportion around 37%. Furthermore, Tobago and Trinidad has the proportion of women at 40% of total manager, lower than Norway and Italy, that has 52% and 54% proportion of women of total manager, respectively.
