It is also clear that the highest price was in Sydney, while the reverse was true for Canberra.
Focusing on the areas with most substantial rises-Sydney, Melbourne and Perth-in 2010, Sydney boasted the highest price of a cup of coffee in both 2010 and 2014, $2.9 and $3.17, respectively, a 13,2% growth. Starting at 2.4 dollars in 2010, the price in Melbourne grew to $2.9 in 2014. Although the number witnessed the most significant increase at 20.8%, it still accounted for the second-largest figure. Similarly, Perth showed a $0.15 increase (from $2.1 in 2010 to $2.25 in 2014), increasing by 7.1%
The remaining cities-Adelaide and Canberra-exhibited much smaller rises, with their respective figures starting at $1.87 and $1.5 . Over the ensuing years, both regions experinced an upward trend over the period. The price of coffee in Adelaide rose by a 6.95%, reaching $2, while Canberra saw a more moderate growth of 6.25%, rising to $1.7 by 2014 (the lowest price in terms of a cup of tea). However, Brisbane remained stable a mere $2.25 from 2010 to 2014.
