Overall, companies such as Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson experienced an increase in their market share, while the figure for Samsung, LG, BenQ Mobile, and other producers of the mobile phone declined. Nokia had the highest share, whereas BenQ Mobile had the smallest portion in both years.
In 2005, Nokia accounted for the highest stock among others, at 32.5%, and increased by 35% in the following year, ranking the highest position. Likewise, Motorola comprised, 17.7% in 2005, and saw a slight rise to 21.1% by 2006, becoming the second significant figure. Sony Ericsson represented considerably lower share, at 6.3%, and it rose modestly to 7.4% by 2006.
In contrast, the market share of Samsung dropped from 12.7% to 11.8% in one year, while the LG company which represented 6.7% in 2005, fell merely to 6.3%. Meanwhile, BenQ Mobile had the smallest proportion in 2005, at nearly 5%, however, the figure then decreased, reaching a mere 2.4% in the next year. With regards to other manufacturers, they shared substantially higher percentage in 2005, at 19.2%, but experienced a fall to 16.2% in 2006.
