Overall, HP was the company with the highest proportion in both years. In contrast, Fujitsu-Siemens had the lowest figure compared to other manufacturers.
Initially, in 2006, HP occupied the largest percentage of shares with 31.4 percent. Meanwhile, Dell and Acer were 16.6 and 11.6 percent respectively. While others companies contributed 22.8 percent to total, Toshiba shared 6.2 percent and Lenovo shared 6.6 percent in the market.
In comparison to 2006, the year 2007 witnessed a doward trend in all companies, excepted for HP and Dell . HP increased 2.6 percent compared to 2006, whereas Dell reached 20.2 percent. Acer shared 10.7 percent, which was 0.9 percent lower than the previous year. Lenovo hold 6.2 percent while Fujitsu-Siemens saw a significant decrease, from 4.8 to 2.3 percent. For the remaining companies, the figure decreased to 19.3 percent.
