The tabular data illustrates the market of Fairtrade in coffee and bananas in millions of euros in 1999 and 2004(in five European countries).
In an overview,the highest sales in 2004 for both coffee and bananaswas in Switzerland.In 1999,for coffee,it was UK whereas in bananas,it was in Switzerland.
From the former table,Switzerland was recorded as the highest sales in 1999 at 3 million euros which doubled in 2004.this was followed by Denmark which recorded mininal sale in both years of around 2 million euros.Also, the UK had only sales of 1.5 million in 1999, but had an exponetial rise to 20 miliion in 2004.Belgium and Sweden had only minimal sales in both the years less than a margin of 2 million euros.
As per the latter table,UK recorded the highest of 15million euros in 1999 which nearly trippled after 5years. Meantime,Denmark and Sweden witnessed minimal sales in both years of just below 2 million euros .Furthermore,Switzerland had only 1 million sales in 1999 which increased over to 5.5 million euros in 2004.Finally in Belgium,where the least sales was recorded in 1999 was 0.6 million euros which had a sky rocketed figure of 4 million euros in 2004.
