The given figure, shows two tables which elaborates the sales of fair trade labelled coffee and bananas in 1990 and 2004 in five European countries. First table show, coffee sales rate and second one for bananas. The sales rate was in millions of euros in all European countries.
In UK, coffee’s sales rate is 1.5 in 1999 and 20 in 2004. In Switzerland, coffee’s sales rate is 3 in 1999 and 6 in 2004. In Denmark, coffee’s sales rate is 1.8 in 1990 and 2 in 2004. In Belgium coffee’s sales rate is 1 in 1990 and 1.9 in 2004. In Sweden, coffee’s sales rate is 0.8 in 1990 and 1 in 2004.
Similarly, banana’s sales rate is in Switzerland is 15 in1990 and 47 in 2004. In Denmark, banana’s sales rate is 2 in 1990 and 0.9 in 2004. In Belgium, banana’s sales rate is 0.6 in 1990 and 4 in 2004. In Sweden, banana’s sales rate is 1.8 in 1990 and 1 in 2004.
In conclusion, overall, coffee sales in United Kingdom is at highest level while in case of bananas its number is second from 1990 to 2004. While, bananas are most sales in Switzerland. But both bananas and coffee are least sale in Sweden and Denmark.
