The tables show male and female employees’ mean working hours of full-time and part-time in Greece, Netherlands and UK, compared to European mean hours.
Overall, both genders worked longer full-time hours compared to part-time. Moreover, men worked slightly longer hours in comparison to female employees. While Greece offerered the largest number of hours to its working household’s, UK, on the other hand followed the similar pattern but moderately.
Netherlands reported equal working hours to both full-time ladies and men at 38 hours each, whereas part-timers hours varied at 29.2 and 28.3 hours for female and male staff respectively. While the European’s full-time average hours were slightly above the Netherlands and UK at 39.2 hours, its average part-time hours overtook Greece. As a result, it became the country with the highest number of part-time hours for both sex.
UK recorded recorded the lowest working time. Although, men worked modestly longer than ladies.
