The table illustrates people’s opinion on different aspects of a specific city as good, average, or bad, in 1980 and 2010.
Overall, education, healthcare, and environment were ranked highly, meanwhile trasnportation received the lowesr rank in both years. Although education’s score rose over time, trasnport facilities decreased.
In 1980, people rated healthcare, environment, and education the highest, by over 80% and the other two 70% respectively. Under 10% of respondents agreed that these three aspects were poor. As for employment and shops, both had similar figures, 62-64% reviewed they were good, and 22-24% said it was average. Only half of those surveyed gave an excellent score on transportation, and roughly a third expressed dissastifaction.
By 2010, the most significant changes were seen in education, as 82% were satisfied and healthcare ratings fell by axproximately 8%. Employment improved in this year, as in 2010, almost three quarters of those asked were happy. In comtrast, Transportation scores fell to 30% with similar numbers saying it was bad. Finally, environment and shops remained stable throughout the years.
