The diagrams illustrate the different designs in three types of bridges in terms of Arch Bridge, Concrete Girder Bridge and Suspension Bridge. Overall, each kind is constructed in specific geographical locations and both of them are distinct in length, height and some other details.
Regarding the arch bridge, its height is 100 metres at maximum and the length of this bridge is usually 200 metres. The bridge is designed with the shape of a curved arch and is suitable for a lake thereby only allowing the small ships underneath to navigate.
Otherwise, this bridge is constructed to connect two banks of a river. The maximum height of the concrete girder bridge is 300 metres and its length can be extended unlimitedly based on the number of piers. The gap among these two piers can not exceed 200 metres but still give more space for the middle size ships.
Finally, being built in the deep sea, the suspension bridge is steady thanks to suspension cables and two piers, which are spaced 400-200 metres apart. With this distance that is ten times the length of the arch bridge, the large ship can easily pass through.
